What is changing

The energy market is changing

The way households generate, use and export solar energy is changing. Feed-in costs and the end of the net metering scheme (salderingsregeling) make it increasingly important to use more of your own energy at the right moment.

Our solutions

What can we help with?

From generating to storing and using energy smartly: we help you find the solution that suits your home.

  • Smart home battery

Store solar energy and use it when you need it. Smart energy management can also take energy prices and your consumption into account.

  • Solar panels

Generate your own electricity and find out how solar panels fit into the changing energy system.

  • Heat pump

Use electricity more efficiently to heat your home, and find out when a heat pump suits your house.

  • Smart energy use

Get insight into your consumption and match it to your generation and, where possible, to energy prices.

From generating to using smartly

What happens to your solar energy?

A simple example of how energy can flow in and around your home — without a battery, with a battery, and with smart energy management.

  1. Without a home battery

During the day you use part of your solar power directly. What you are not using at that moment flows to the grid. In the evening you take electricity from the grid.

    • Solar power
    • Electricity from the grid
  2. With a home battery

The surplus is stored in the battery first. Later, in the evening for example, you use that electricity yourself. Once the battery is full, the remaining surplus goes to the grid.

    • Solar power
    • From the battery
    • Electricity from the grid
  3. Smart energy management

The system takes your generation, your consumption, the state of the battery and — where available — energy prices into account. That is how it decides when the battery charges, discharges or exports.

    • Solar power
    • From the battery
    • Electricity from the grid
    • Smart control

An illustrative example. How much solar power you use directly, store or export differs per home and depends on your consumption, your solar panels and the battery capacity, among other things.

More grip on your energy

What a well-matched energy system can make possible — depending on your home, your consumption and the configuration.

  • Use more of your own energy

Use a larger share of the electricity your home generates itself.

  • Less dependent on exporting

Keep part of your surplus instead of exporting it straight away.

  • Respond to energy prices

Where the configuration and your contract allow it, the system can respond to prices.

  • Energy available for later

Move consumption from one moment to another, to the evening for example.

  • Insight into your use

See how generation, storage and consumption interact.

Smart energy storage for the home

With a smart home battery you can keep a larger share of the solar energy you generate for later use. Combined with smart energy management, the system can also take your consumption and, where available, dynamic energy prices into account.

ECOMIX works with smart energy storage systems from Hanchu ESS.

We will add specifications, capacities, warranty terms and availability as soon as they are officially confirmed. In an advice conversation we discuss what applies to your home.
